Base64URL Encoder
Encode text to Base64URL format. Base64URL is a URL-safe variant of Base64 that replaces + with - and / with _, and removes trailing padding (=). It is used in JWTs, URL-safe file names, and web-safe data transmission. Base64URL is an encoding, not encryption - it provides no confidentiality. Anyone can decode it trivially. Use it for data transport or format compatibility, never for secrets. Everything runs in your browser.

Is Base64URL the same as encryption?
No. Base64URL is an encoding - a reversible transformation that anyone can undo. Encryption requires a key to reverse. Never use encoding to protect sensitive data.
Why does my decoded output look wrong?
Common causes: (1) the input was encoded with a different character set, (2) the input has extra whitespace or line breaks, (3) the input is corrupted. Try trimming whitespace and verifying the source.
Is my data sent to a server?
